“The best way to capture moments is to pay attention. This is how we cultivate mindfulness. Mindfulness means being awake. It means knowing what you are doing.”
― Jon Kabat-Zinn, Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday
A minimalistic website that is meant to keep it simple and clear.
If you feel overwhelmed, breathe. It will calm you and release the tensions.
If you are worried about something coming up, or caught up in something that already happened, breathe. It will bring you back to the present.
If you are moving too fast, breathe. It will remind you to slow down, and enjoy life more.
Breathe, and enjoy each moment of this life. They’re too fleeting and few to waste.

In a lifetime we may take up to 700 million breaths. How many of them are you really "present" for? Let's begin to notice.
Mindfulness is being able to be in the present moment, fully aware to our thoughts, surroundings and senses. It is a way to calm the mind, a way to be present that helps us develop clarity, calmness, empathy and positivity. Connecting to the heart, cultivating compassion and learning the skills to understand ourselves better. We learn how to "be" and feel that sense of stability and of being on course, that we will be okay even if life gets rough sometimes.
Whether we are in the classroom, in a sport, at a job or just day to day living ... learning how to 'be' here and now, how to focus and how to decide how we are going to react, is what mindfulness can bring to us. How many hours a day are we spending thinking of the future, what might be? Or the past and reliving it over and over again when it is gone and cannot be any different? Mindfulness teaches us how to be more in the 'now'. We learn how to be the master of our own minds and choose when to think of the future, or when we need to assess the past, at our will and when we decide we want to.
Life has challenges & stress. That doesn't have to be a bad thing. Mindfulness can teach us how to respond to the challenges in our lives. We can learn how to turn our auto responses from being reactive and unhealthy to being manageable and controlled. We can learn how to be non-judgemental and more loving to ourselves living with more clarity, calmness, empathy and positivity. We can learn to be 'with' our experiences. We can learn to toughen our mind and connect with our gut and heart. To better understand what drives us and how to get to our goals. We learn how to listen and rely on our intuition better, which helps making decisions much easier and less stressful. We can also learn how to be more aware of those 'triggers' that can often upset us or send us into a frenzy of emotions. Once we understand our mind a little better and learn to work "with" it, we begin to be more in control of where it goes.
In a mindfulness training program, we also learn mechanisms to help us sleep better, to relax and to be able to let go of the endless thinking. We learn about powerful emotions and how we respond to situations and how being mindful can allow us the opportunity and space to 'be' with them and allow them to dissipate. Part of our training also teaches us the science behind mindfulness and how our physiology and our brains are affected through a mindfulness practice.
